Reasons Why I Love My Husband

I’ve always been a believer in the attitude of gratitude. If I’m having a terrible day, if I take a few minutes to jot down what I’m thankful for it changes my perspective and in turn my day gets better.

“What you focus on increases.”- Rob Estes

I believe the same rings true for marriage. Sometimes the little details of life get in the way of the big picture. I try to be appreciative of my husband everyday, but there’s nothing as concrete as a list typed out for the world to see.

So here are 6 reasons why I love my husband:

1. He thinks I’m beautiful, even when I first wake up the morning

2. He makes me dinners like this:

And then promptly asks me if it’s good enough to post on my blog ;)

3. He tucks me into bed every night when he’s home

4. He shovels the walkway everyday so I don’t slip and fall

5. He checks my car to make sure I have windshield washer fluid so often that, I’ve only had to fill it up twice- ever. He does that just because; I’ve never asked him to and am perfectly capable of doing it myself.

6. He buys me flowers for no reason at all; I came home to these on Monday:

If you made a list of the things you love about your significant other what would it include?

Including a lot of the things you have listed, I love that my husband will act as my sous chef in the kitchen and help me cut fabrics for my sewing projects. =)

I love my hub because he has a beautiful spirit! I also love him because dogs ALWAYS go to him and dogs are a great judge of people! ;)

You are very blessed to have a very loving husband doing those things. I try to be a good husband to my wife but I’m not as close as to what your husband did. Perhaps I should give more effort. :-)

It’s all in the little things Walter! One small effort can make the world of difference.

Your husband sure sounds like a winner! That is fabulous, Shannon.

I love my husband for so many little things that he does, but overall, I appreciate how he treats me like a lady. We’ve been married for 4 years, but he still always opens doors for me (even my car door!) and offers to drop me off before parking the car if the weather is unpleasant (I usually turn down the offer, but still).

The other thing I LOVE about my husband is how much he appreciates my cooking. He can’t cook worth beans himself but he just devours and praises all my cooking. It makes me feel great.

I guess our relationship sounds really old-fashioned when I put it that way but it isn’t. He also publicly praises me for my brains, which I deeply appreciate. He’s always telling people how much smarter and more learned I am than him. It makes me glow!

Swoooon! You have a keeper! One of my favorite things Hal does for me is always makes sure I’m fed. Making dinner all the time and going out of his way that I’m not hungry. Ha – maybe b/c I get cranky when I don’t eat ;)
